A Chakra & Kundalini Workbook: Psycho-Spiritual Techniques
for Health, Rejuvenation, Psychic Powers and Spiritual
Realization by Dr. John. Mumford "Wonderful
book. This is not your traditional yoga book. But it is to
be treasured for that very reason. The author has all
the exercises of yoga but not in the usual sense. For
instance, in hatha yoga one need not perform bending and
twisting exercises to get the same benefits of the authors
version of hatha yoga which is meditation on accupressure
points. According to Esoteric physiology, the body has
main chakras and many minor ones which are energy centers.
Each of these chakras confers either psychic powers,
health benefits or other gifts when awakened. Mumfords
version of hatha and raja yoga show how to awaken these
energy centers and attain the highest goal of yoga which
is nirvana or Godhead. The book is easy to follow and
practice. The section on tantra does not need a physical
partner, since it is axiomatic in occult studies that the
same benefits are gained by practicing the excercises in
the imagination alone. An excellent book for the novice as
well as expert yogi." Reviewed by brown@eni. com

Way of Walking: Eastern Strategies for Vitality,
Longevity, and Peace of Mind by Jacques MoraMarco OMD,
Rick Benzel MA "An Inspirational &
Practical Guide to Fitness & Longevity.
The Way of Walking is both an inspirational and a
practical guide to physical fitness and longevity. The
book articulates the mind/body connection to health and
well-being in a way that really motivates me to be serious
about this walking program. The information is easy to
relate to and absorb. In fact, reading this book is almost
like having Dr. Moramarco there with you, helping you to
get it right. The demonstration photos are also quite
helpful. The Way of Walking describes a system that can
work for the novice to the most fit and everyone in
between (like me!). You don't need special clothes or
equipment. You are not limited by age or physical
condition. Having followed this program for just a few
months, I feel better than I have in a long time: my legs
are stronger, my endurance greater and I'm more
optimistic. I'm grateful to Dr. Moramarco for sharing his
knowledge and insight in The Way of Walking. I feel this
system will be the backbone of my own life-long physical
fitness program." Reviewed by "a reader from

The Five Tibetans: Five Dynamic Exercises for Health,
Energy, and Personal Power by Christopher S. Kilham
"POWERFULLY HEALING YET SIMPLE. I have been doing the
Five Rites for a little over 3 years. I can't begin to say
how healing and energizing they are. They are an important
part of my daily routine. I am 51 this year and since I
have been doing the Five Rites my energy level feels like
I am in my 30's. Some physical problems with sholder,
back, elbow and knee have left me some time ago.
Interesting enough, they left in the reverse order of
becoming afflicted with them. If you find that you don't
have the time to go to the gym or get the bike out or go
for a walk, TRY THESE.. You will find your energy level
begin to increase and before you know it you just might
make the time to go for that walk!" Reviewed by

Super Joints: Russian Longevity Secrets for Pain-Free
Movement, Maximum Mobility & Flexible Strength by
Pavel Tsatsouline
"A neglected area of conditioning. Seldom in any
fitness books or magazines do you hear about joint health.
Pavel goes into great detail on drills that can help you
stay mobile and pain free. This book should be read by
anyone who has done a lot of high impact activity in the
past, or for people that have sendentary lifestyles. With
all the commercials for anti-inflammatory drugs, there
should be huge market for this book. There are drills that
will work for just about anyone's fitness level. I have
been doing 3-4 of these movements in the morning, and it
makes you feel better. I am in my thirties, but when I
wake up in the morning, I feel like an old man! These
exercises make me feel normal again, and I will do them
the rest of my life. Aging doesn't necessarily mean that
your body has to start falling apart. Now I believe that
we can function at high levels throughout our lives. You
just need to get educated and apply these exercises."
