A "Finder" is a person who finds what someone is looking for, and earns a referal fee by connecting the person who has that item with the person who wants it.
Many businesses depend on 3rd party sources to supply them with products, customers, even sources of cash, but would rather pay a independent "finder" a "finder's fee" than devote salaried manhours to the often time-consuming task of hunting down and sifting through of information that is sometimes required.
Professional finders make it a practice of reading a lot and noting what businesses are seeking to get and what other businesses or individuals are advertising they are looking to sell.
For example, some finders live in large metropolitan areas and make a nice living by constantly reading the classified ads from a several newspapers in their area and matching these offerings with buyers he finds in the Yellow Pages.
Other finders operate on a national or even international basis by takng advantage of the many resources the Internet has to offer including classified ad sites, Craig's List, the online version of many newspapers, online yellow pages and other business directories, and a finely tuned ability to do online searches.
If a service or product can be bought or sold, there is usually an opportunity to earn a Finders Fee just waiting for a Finder with the imagination and the energy to be willing to earn it.
It doesn't matter where you live. There are opportunities to earn finders fees everywhere -- in small towns and in big cities in every state and country of the world!
The more imaginative you are and the more creatively you are able to think, the greater your earning power as a finder is going to be.
Some Examples of Types of Finders Fees
One Finder Earned Finder Fees of $75,000 per Month for 5 Years. How? By spotting an ad in a newsletter offering a contract of 10,000 barrels of crude oil per day for 5 years. He got in touch with the owner of a small refinery and put the seller together with the buyer. His fee? A mere 25 cents a barrel. But that worked out to be finders fee of $75,000 a month, and amount he collected like clockwork every month for five years.
Management firms for absentee owners of hotels and apartment buildings are always looking for new properties to manage. You can often earn substantial finders fees if you can find absentee owners who have properties they need managed.
Fast-Food Franchises Are Constantly Seeking New Locations. Some finders with eye for exactly the kind of location these companies are seekng and can often make an extremely lucrative living with finders fees by spotting new locations for these franchises. On a somewhat smaller scale, other finders make a nice living spotting locations for vending machines and coin operated games.
Closeout Dealers and Seekers May EACH Be Willing to Pay a Finders Fee and You Can Earn a DOUBLE FEE by Connecting Them. By working alone or even with another finder, it's possible to by avidly reading the "wants" and "haves" in a variety of online and offline classifieds to earn a fee from both the buyer AND the seller.
Collectors Often Pay Finders Fees. Collectors of Antiques, Collectibles and Memorabilia are Often Willing to Pay a Finder's Fee if you can find exactly what they are looking for at the the price they are willing to pay. The fee usually isn't that great, but if you can earn $100 or so for an hour or two's searching and several phone calls, that isn't bad pay.
Hundreds of thousands of businesses have used heavy equipment and machinery sitting around gathering dust and rust and would gladly pay a fnder a nice fee to find them a buyer for their unwanted equipment. Some finders make a substantial living SPECIALIZING in this very lucrative niche.
Below are just some of the many actual opportunities from which to profit as a finder. These will give you an idea of what to look for ... and what the going finders fee might be.
