Causes and Cures for Psoriasis

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease whose symptoms can often resemble those of eczema.

For example, according to the following CME report, Inverse Psoriasis "manifests as red, smooth areas of skin, often in folds or creases, that are red and inflamed, but do not have scaling. The underarms and groin are common locations."   Sounds a lot like it could be heat rash, doesn't it?  So check with your physician as to the correct diagnosis and treatment.

Eczema: A Healthy Breakthrough  Covers what eczema is, types of eczema, traditional means of alleviating eczema, and some ways of reducing eczema outbreaks:

• Avoid salt to lessen histamine reactions
• Alcoholic beverages can aggravate skin inflammation.
• Look for additive free foods.
• Wash and peel fruits and vegetables.
• Vacuum up dust or use a moistened dust mop.
• Use soaps that are perfume and phosphate-free.
• Wear latex gloves when doing dishes.
• Avoid ammonia and bleach products. Substitute vinegar or lemon juice.
