Current medical thinking has got it COMPLETELY WRONG about PSORIASIS! Doctors and so-called ‘skin experts’ offer CREAMS to put ON THE SURFACE of the ‘problem’. They never deal with THE SOURCE of the problem, THE ROOT CAUSE deep down inside of you that CREATES Psoriasis on the surface!

Your Psoriasis is nothing but a surface SYMPTOM of what is really going on! You can keep applying a cream on your Psoriasis area, and it might even make it better for a while, but since you haven’t dealt with THE SOURCE of your problem, your Psoriasis WILL re-appear, over and over again!!!

But as soon as you resolve THE SOURCE PROBLEM – your Psoriasis will disappear faster than you can imagine.

 Plaque Psoriasis News

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease whose symptoms can often resemble those of eczema.

For example, according to the following CME report, Inverse Psoriasis "manifests as red, smooth areas of skin, often in folds or creases, that are red and inflamed, but do not have scaling. The underarms and groin are common locations."   Sounds a lot like it could be heat rash, doesn't it?  So check with your physician as to the correct diagnosis and treatment.

Continuing Medical Education has an excellent overview of Psoriasis.  This not only describes the five different kinds of Psoriasis, but it provides useful information on various treatments which might alleviate this supposedly incurable disease.

"This type of treatment involves exposing the skin to a particular wavelength of ultraviolet light called UVB. Phototherapy is a common, safe and very effective treatment for psoriasis. UV phototherapy is medically recognized and scientifically proven technology, often covered by health insurance and is effective for around 90% of patients, or 95% when used with a coal tar product - the highest proven and documented for any psoriasis treatment."

Hydrogen Peroxide Purported to Help Eliminate Some Eczema Conditions

Dr. Wm. Campbell Douglass, M.D. in his book Hydrogen Peroxide – Medical Miracle, writes: “Hydrogen Peroxide is involved in all of life's processes. Hydrogen Peroxide is truly the wonder molecule. The cells in the body that fight infection, called granulocytes, produce H2O2 as a first line of defense against every type of invading organism, parasite, virus, bacteria and yeast.”

Dr. Donsbach's OxygenTherapies.com website details the many topical uses of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, including bathing in it:

"Use 64 fluid ounces (4 pints) of 3% hydrogen peroxide in a bathtub full of rather warm, but not hot water.  Be sure that the area you have problems with is fully immersed and soak for 20 minutes or more.  Stiff and sore joints may be relieved in just a few baths.  Skin problems, such as rashes, eczema, psoriasis and athlete's foot, respond very well to this topical immersion."  See OxygenTherapies.com for other skin-related uses.

Eczema: A Healthy Breakthrough  Covers what eczema is, types of eczema, traditional means of alleviating eczema, and some ways of reducing eczema outbreaks:

  • Avoid salt to lessen histamine reactions
  • Alcoholic beverages can aggravate skin inflammation.
  • Look for additive free foods.
  • Wash and peel fruits and vegetables.
  • Vacuum up dust or use a moistened dust mop.
  • Use soaps that are perfume and phosphate-free.
  • Wear latex gloves when doing dishes.
  • Avoid ammonia and bleach products. Substitute vinegar or lemon juice.

Eczema: A Healthy Breakthrough also recommends using various "friendly bacteria" (like acidophilus, for example) taken internally.  It also comes ups with this novel idea of TOPICALLY-APPLIED lactobacillus:

"Since most eczema skin has higher ratios of Staphylococcus aureus germs on the outside surface compared to healthy skin, here’s a novel strategy. Fight harmful staph germs by applying a probiotic skin preparation directly to the effected skin. Lactobacillus acidophilus bacteria applied in cream form will bring soothing relieve to damaged skin while helping new skin cells to grow back in a healthy manner. You’ll be amazed at the fast results..."  See Eczema: A Healthy Breakthrough for more information.
